about
First time I’ve listened “Il Deserto” (Ayna, 1974) of master Egisto Macchi, I was amazed how that music was so intense, emotional and expressive in a perfect Mediterranean way. All the tracks are unique and “Il Sahara” is one of the most representative pieces of the opera. I did my best to respect its original pathos: enhancing and complementing the vibrant and tense sonorities with a higher dose of electronics by depth and perspective, that must be heard loud. “Profondo Cosmo” is the title I've given to this new version. It's a slow and perpetual motion, composed contemplating the reality that surrounds us, as a warning about climate changing, increasing desertification and continuing violence of nowadays.

One of my top labels these days. Esoteric, dreaming, trance inducing music in the form of dub, techno, folk and more genres. Check their 1st volume too. Just great Pako Vega

As on their first release, Mogambo lulls you into serenity with an ambient oriented intro, only to hit you over the head with three kick ass song by opening a can of tribally trance when you’re not expecting it anymore. Halfway during the third track I thought the police was trying to knock my front door down. Fortunately it was my subwoofer playing tricks on me and the banging I heard was just this BANGING TRACK! giacomov
